Eve Penford-Dennis provides
an insight into why girls don’t play games as
much as boys… |
Eve has been
working as an artist in the game industry since 1992.
Originally from the UK, has worked for a variety of
British game developers, including Psygnosis and System
3, before moving to Melbourne to work at Infogrames.
During her time as a developer, Eve worked on many
titles including: Rollerwars (PC), Gods & Heroes
(PC), Krazy Ivan (PlayStation 1), Wipeout (PlayStation
1), Wipeout 2097 (PlayStation 1), The Last Ninja (PC),
DethKarz (PC), Looney tunes, Space Race (Dreamcast),
Le Mans 24 Hours (PC), Le Mans 24 Hours II (PC), Apex
(Xbox), Mission Impossible: Operation Surma.
Eve is now the Senior Art Tutor at the Academy of Interactive
Entertainment's Melbourne Campus, where she lectures
students in 3D graphics, with courses ranging from the
fundamentals of 3d, to specialised 3D for game development.
She is also heavily involved in Women In Games, mentoring
women who are interested in pursuing a career in the
games industry. |
