Kevin
Burfitt is the Technical Producer at Atari
Melbourne House. Kevins first games were published in
1983 while still in high-school, he then went on to
get his degree and work a 'real job' until joining Beam
Software in 1995. Kevin has worked on 13 major titles
including Transformers(PS2), Grand Prix Challenge(PS2)
and GP500(PC).
Kevin has a strong technical background as a Lead Programmer
and has more recently moved into the role of Technical
Producer. A strong believer in improving the game development
process, Kevin is always looking for new ideas and tools
to help improve the quality of the games we create. |

PRESENTATION
Looks at the realities of game development –
the practical constraints and parameters artists and
programmers work to (eg limitations within graphics,
real-time animation, hardware issues, etc). An informative
session describing the environment in which commercial
production happens.
