Games for Health Forum a GCAP Highlight
This year’s Game Connect: Asia Pacific (GCAP) sees for the first time the inclusion of a half-day forum on the emerging field of Games for Health. Already a $6.6B industry, E-Health offers incredible opportunities for game developers to leverage their skills and expertise. The Games for Health forum brings together the Australian game development community with healthcare providers, clinicians and heath technology developers. It is intended for games and health practitioners, and for academics from both fields. A host of local and international speakers will present on subjects including Wii use for stroke patients, virtual environments for health education, and on how to access government grants and funding to develop games in the field of E-Health. It is an event not to be missed by developers looking to branch out beyond traditional game development, and in to this fast-moving new field.

If you are working at a school or tertiary institution and have an interest in Australia’s world-class game development industry, or if you are already working with students in this field, then this forum is not to be missed.
